We Love Parquet are committed to respectfully sourcing all wood we use from certified sources who are suppliers registered on the Chain of Custody Forest Products.
We support the protection of Australia’s unique forestry environments and only use wood products that meet the certification standards developed to ensure a forest industry that is environmentally, socially, culturally and commercially sustainable.
The assurance of Sustainable Forest Management certification
Sustainable Forest Management certification assures that forests are conserved and managed responsibly to ensure they deliver social, environmental and economic benefits now and in the future – balancing people, planet and profit.
- Australia is the third largest certified forest area in the world.
- 90% of Australia’s large public and private native forests and plantations are certified.

In 2004 Australia joined the global Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), the global authority on sustainable forest management.
Certification standards for wood and wood products sourced from sustainably managed forests in Australia and New Zealand are managed by the not-for-profit organisation Responsible Wood (formerly the Australian Forestry Standard Ltd). These standards are Sustainable Forest Management (AS 4708) and Chain of Custody for Forest Products (AS 4707). They provide guidance and accountability for forest managers, manufacturers and suppliers. Both Standards are based on internationally recognised frameworks and both certification schemes are endorsed by PEFC.
Over 24 million hectares* of forest are now certified in Australia providing sustainable building materials to architects, builders and retailers, and timber and paper products to craftsmen and all Australians.
