Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
2. Entry is free and open to any Australian resident over the age of 18 years.
3. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Judging of each entry will be based upon individual creative merit and compliance with the competition terms and conditions.
4. The prize is a gift certificate for a 2-night stay at the Macleay Hotel Sydney in a Harbour View Studio Apartment for 2 people.
5. The prize cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash.
6. Prize value is AU$560.00. Gift certificate is valid from 01/03/2019 – 01/03/2020.
7. Spending money, airfares, meals, travel taxes, travel insurance, passports, visas, transport to and from the Macleay Hotel and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner.
8. Valid entries must meet competition criteria see Insta/Website for details.
9. Entry into the competition must meet the following criteria and must not violate any law:
a. Upload/post your favourite parquetry photo* to your profile with the hashtag #loveyourfloors and tag @weloveparquet
b. Follow our Insta profile @weloveparquet and the hashtag: #weloveparquet
c. Tag a friend to follow us on Instagram.
*The floor photographed may be any parquetry floor. The photograph may be your own or one published in the public domain. Photographs that are subject to copyright are not admissible. Re-posting of photos from others’ pages requires the original sourced photo and loyalties to be named.
10. Verification of entry requires the entrant to:
e. Complete the three criteria, then message our instagram page @weloveparquet. Your page must be on a public post for us to see it or both parties need to be following each other. Or
f. Send us a screenshot of the post you have put up with all four criteria met.
g. The post is required to be continued from the date of entry for the duration of the competition (17/03/2019 to 07/04/2019).
11. The relevant draw and re-draw dates for the promotion:
h. The promotion opens on Sunday 17th March 2019 and closes on Sunday 7th April 2019.
i. The promotion will be drawn on Friday 12th April 2019.
j. If no one claims the prize by Friday 26th of April 2019, the prize will be offered to the second best selected best post of parquetry floor design, quality and finish.
12. The promotion will run as an advertisement in The Sun-Herald Sydney on the following dates:
k. Sunday 17th March 2019
l. Sunday 24th March 2019
m. Sunday 31st March 2019
n. Sunday 7th April 2019.
13. The prize content and value:
- A gift certificate for a 2-night stay at the Macleay Hotel, 28 Macleay Street, Potts Points 2011 for 2 people.
- Harbour View Studio Apartment for 2 adults for 2 nights.
- Total value AU$560.00
- Bookings must be made between 01/03/2019 – 01//03/2020. Block out dates apply. Not valid for New Year’s Eve and some special event periods.
14. Once the prize has been given to the winner, We Love Parquet is not responsible for travel insurance, or any insurances related to the prize. We will not be liable for any surcharges that may apply due to the prize winner’s discretion.
15. The entrants are responsible for any and all expenses that they incur in entering the competition.
16. Winning entry criteria:
o. The winning entry must meet all four criteria for entry as specified in the Terms and Conditions (9.) above.
p. The winning photograph will be judged on the best parquetry floor design, quality and finish.
q. The winner of the competition will be determined by the Master Installer from We Love Parquet – Ivan Kirton.
r. Scrutineer for the selection of the winner will be Wail Daftar (Co-founder/Director We Love Parquet) who will confirm the reasons for the winner that is selected by Ivan Kirton for best parquetry floor design, quality and finish.
17. Notification of winners. On Friday 12th April Ivan and Wail will select the competition winner on the basis of compliance with the conditions of entry.
s. The winning entry will be released on Instagram on the original advertised post in the comments and will have a congratulations posted on Instagram. We Love Parquet will also message the winner’s inbox to inform them they have won
t. If no one claims the prize by Friday 12th July 2019, the prize will be offered to the second-best selected post of parquetry floor design, quality and finish.
18. Claiming the prize. Once we have verified and made contact with the winner, we will send a copy of the hotel gift certificate to their email and receive confirmation from the recipient.
19. The promoter is We Love Parquet Pty Ltd (ABN 76 625 956 416), Shop 2, 121 Macleay St. Sydney 2011. Telephone 1300goparquet.
20. Acceptance of the prize by the entrant requires the entrant to agree that the winning photo may be used in association with promotional material by We Love Parquet, with acknowledgement of the winner’s name.
21. Exclusions. Employees of the promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with the promoter and their immediate families are ineligible to enter the competition.
22. Termination of Competition. The Promoter reserves the right to vary the terms of, or cancel, the competition at any time without liability to any entrant or other person, subject to applicable laws.
23. We Love Parquet Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility for late, incorrectly submitted or misdirected entries, any technological malfunction or failure, or incorrect contact details.
24. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
